And there you go. Staring at 21-3 vs an undermanned team if you get 2 freaking yards (after 150 in the 1st quarter).

Let them off the hook with a pussy FG and Nevada drives down to get back in it. A lot of coaches like to sound tough but are still stuck in old, safe ways. Go get 2 yards, man.

Definitely a time and place. If it’s late, vs a great D in a low scoring game and you want to take the lead? Sure.

But all indications are this is going to be a shootout. Your offense puts up 460/yds a game. You lead with your offense but don’t trust them to get it done here? Weak.

Also, playing a first game starting QB. Make him drive 90 yards even if you fail. Whatever. Just watching football and complaining at 12pm on a Monday. Life could be worse.

Nevada had a shit ton of players enter the portal after their coach announced he was going to Colorado State, along with the QB opting ou. Not shocking they are getting wrecked.
