Heh, I am just letting the Florida fans have their cake, I came in today to the new SI cover taped to my monitor which I thought was funny. Everyone gets their day in the sun, they can have theirs for now because sooner or later Urban Meyer is gonna go to the NFL, I am actually surprised that he hasn't contacted Miami yet :p

Thier fans niether earned or deserve anything. If they want to give a little shit cause thier team beat my team, that's fine.

It's always nice to be able to shut someone up without violence though. :biggrin:

i was at the game, i can only speak for those folks. i talked to tons of them, very good fans. as far as the internet ones... or ones who pretned to be on here, i can say nothing. but let me tell you vast majority were polite, classy people, granted they got loud and had their fun, but did so in a very nice way if you ask me...

It tends to be that way with all teams, Trolls are trolls, they are looking for a bandwagon to hop on, but the people who are real fans usually don't have that type of attitude. Last year I went to the Fiesta Bowl and the Notre Dame fans I talked to seemed pretty realistic, most saying "yeah, we figured we'd lose but it was good to go see the team" as opposed to the ones I see on boards who still think that Notre Dame is one step away from another NC.

I don't think I'd be too upset. I'd just laugh it off as a pathetic attempt to change the subject from.....HEY, wait a minute.....I see what you did there.


My point was more about the wording. What makes the 20,000 Gator fans any more deserving than the 80,000 Buckeye fans that attended the game.*



*I fully understand that those numbers are entirely inaccurate. My cousin, who attended the game said he would have put the fan ratio at about 4:1 in favor of tOSU. That, and that only is what I base my statement on. :biggrin:

Agree 110%. I did not start this thread to diminish what Florida did this year. They won, won big, and are entitled to feel damn good about it. But when they then extend their victory to:

1. Buckeyes are always overrated, and​

2. the SEC trumps the Big 10 without qualification,​
then the gloves come off.
