Bo Schembechler (National Championships = 0)

Bo meant so much to UM and this rivalry - he has been almost equally as important for both programs. To all who attend tomorrow's game, please do not show any disrespect during any type of tribute that occurs. Without Bo, this game tomorrow (or any year) would not be nearly what it is today. Rest in Peace.

Although Bo and Woody can watch this one together... some thing just seems right about that.

Amen. Bo deserves more than we could give him tomorrow. All ties to Michigan aside. We wouldn't have this great of a rivalry without him. I'm actually saddened by this news. Not that a Michigan coach has passed to a better place but, more of the fact that college football has lost one of it's great icons. Hahaha on a lighter note however, I'm not so sure of Woody and Bo watching the game together. They'll both be watching, I'm sure. I don't think football heaven is ready for two "football coaching Gods" to watch it together. ( haha wonder if they're going at it right now...)

As Bo stands in front of the gates in heaven, Woody is right there waiting on him to join him for the greatest OSU-UM battle in history.

Its going to be a rowdy time up there tommrow afternoon.

RIP Bo.

for your kindness and sympathy in this time when we are most vulnerable.

it is a bit... unexpected... and that is the most reassuring part.
thanks from the Michigan community.

No worries, we would expect nothing less from the Michigan fans had the positions been reversed.

Aside all the flowery posts about his death, he was a Buckeye.

I had the privlege to meet him and shake his hand. I said "hello Coach, I am an OSU alum"... he replied "so am I".

I think one of his family should dot the i. Shit, I think he should dot the i.

Bo had 21 years at UM and I think really made the football team what it is today. He was, for sure, a true legend and 5-4-1 against Woody.

God speed to Bo and thoughts and prayers for the Schembechler family.

A rivalry, it must be remembered, is owing to great personalities on both sides of the field. Bo, as everyone surely knows, was instrumental in taking the Ohio State Michigan game to another level. The Game would be less for never having known his influence.

Rest in Peace Bo.

This is terrible news. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the Michigan family. My first thoughts when I heard the news today was God just wanted him and Woody to see the biggest edition of The Game together, just like old times.
