I own a PS3 and have a 60hz 1080p Samsung LCD and my question is why don't my Blu-Rays have that 3-D, soap opera look to them when I'm watching them? I'm assuming it has to do with the hz/refresh rate, but I was just wondering if anybody had any other reason.

How is it connected to your TV? HDMI? Component?

Are the settings on your PS3 correct? Like the previous poster said, you need to be on 1080p. Also, what movies have you watched? Do they look better, worse, same as say, ESPN in HD?

Hmmm. Did you make sure you go into your ps3 settings and set the vid to 1080p?

It is also gonna depend on the movie as well. what have you watched?
I'm fairly certain it's set on 1080p. I own The Dark Knight and several others and just recently watched Wolverine.

I have HDMI cables coming from my U-Verse box and from my PS3. They look no better than ESPN on HD.

Honestly, they look like an upconverted DVD, not the ridiculously crisp Blu-Ray with the "behind the scenes, I'm actually there" look to them. I'll check again though.
