How is Sony bad for trying to put the best quality format out? You'd rather have HD DVD (an inferior format) just because it's not Sony? Then you turn around and say "another good Sony idea". News flash: There was no standard HD format for DVDs, so if you call Sony's Blu-Ray "different", the same could be said about Toshiba's HD DVD.
Personally, I don't care if a format is not the initial standard...I want the best possible quality at a competitive price in a format that will be long-term available, and that's what Sony's Blu-Ray is. I could give a shit that all the other companies had initially put their eggs in the HD DVD basket...not my fucking fault. I'm so glad that I now don't have to put up with a lesser quality product just because it's slightly cheaper and that most companies had jumped on its bandwagon.
