I think there's a tad difference between folks of a certain belief wanting to match up and those of a single race.

In all seriousness, I think what many people look for is somebody with similar experiences. For some people, race, culture and religion factor into those shared experiences. I think mature people can select a partner along those lines without being racist. Therefore, I think sites like these have value.
