Nice pic of Mike dragging 4 Buckeyes.

Speaking of NFL careers, Mike is already retired and his NFL career is 10x as impressive as that Buckeye wearing #50.

Dragging 4 buckeyes to an 0-4 career? Solid mang.

My guess is this picture is a stop behind the LOS.

And I didn't realize a career that was spent primarily on practice squads and PUP lists was more impressive than Vernon Gholston who has admittedly underachieved.

Good post

He was always plagued by ankle injuries. And he was on IR most of his rookie season after a knee injury. It's the NFL, he got dinged up to much to be a sustainable back. Not surprising that he didn't last.

Good luck at Eastern. We're going to kick your ass on 9/17

I'm sure Heyward and Gholston are both getting to him at the same time beyond the line of scrimmage, not 3 yards in the backfield.

Take a look at their bank accounts and you'll see whose career is more impressive.

Oh, by the way--one guy is basically working for free at EMU as an assistant, and the other is playing for the Chicago Bears.

Care to discuss further?

Does Vernon have a sack yet? It's not his fault though, it's Rex Ryan's.

Looked at their bank accounts. Gholston has $9 million less than he should all because he couldn't register a single NFL sack.

And correction- one guy is coaching at EMU for a minimal coaching wage- the other guy is getting paid a minimal NFL wage and is on the verge of being cut by the Chicago Bears.

One guy is in the NFL, the other isn't.

Are you really arguing this???

okay. share with us how much each has made.

anyway, what i know is that ohio state produced a player who made $21m in guaranteed money. m*ch*gan produced a player who made $1.8m in four years and will have to work in order to make ends meet. after taxes, agent fees, and various expenditures, hart needs to be preparing his resume. gholston, on the other hand, can retire now and never work another day in his life.

One guy plays RB and was a 6th round choice. The average career for an NFL RB is 3 years, and the chances of making a team as a 6th rounder is no gimme.

The other guy was a Top 10 pick, and is a massive NFL bust, one of the biggest of the entire decade, a definite top 10 NFL draft bust of the last decade, at least.

Mike Hart has scored a touchdown in the NFL. Vernon get one sack yet?

Oh, and Vernon will probably be cut by the Bears any day now.

Bears defensive end Vernon Gholston complained Monday night that he never got a ?fair chance? from Rex Ryan in New York.

We?d argue that Gholston got more chances than most NFL players because of his draft pedigree. The Bears didn?t select Gholston, which is why we suspect he may not even make the team?s roster.

Bears G.M. Jerry Angelo called the No. 3 defensive end spot a ?concern? with Corey Wooten injured. Undrafted rookie Mario Addison has received more buzz than Gholston in camp. Nick Reed played ahead of Addison and Gholston on Monday night.

The team may also move defensive tackle Henry Melton outside to end. Basically, the Bears look like they are trying to do whatever possible to avoid playing Gholston.

?The former Jets? first-round pick showed off little more than a chiseled physique during three weeks at Olivet Nazarene University,? Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune writes.

That probably sounds familiar to Jets fans and coach Rex Ryan.

?My concern was to make the NY Jets a better defense . . . not just one player,? Ryan said via the New York Daily News when asked about Gholston?s remarks. ?I?m confused because I think I?m fair.?
