Another thing: why does anyone have to explain themselves? We had Lydell Ross have 10 carries for ZERO yards one game... to say we have a problem on offense is something I'm sure any casual sports fan could recognize. Why does he have to tell you how to fix it? He seems happy at ESPN and doesn't seem like he wants a coaching job... so why should he play coach? Quell guys like you? Pfft.

Well if anyone was man enough to bring up an instance where I was wrong, I'd surely stick my foot in my mouth where it would belong. I see one link, and read it. Everyone else just throws their 2 cents in without proving anything. Like I said, I don't have access to his radio broadcast, but only this one instance have I seen where he finally came out and said anything beyond on his criticisms.

I guess being on BN so much kind of makes you bitter towards people who overly criticize, but don't give credit where it's due. Or just criticize because everyone else is doing it to.

This thread was originally about Kirk's and Tress's relationship. Why I got dinged for bringing up a GREAT point perplexes me. When you are said to be a part of a program, you don't just criticize the program without providing backup as to why. Until recently, in the article, he never said why. I think that's a valid reason why their relationship as of late might not be so well.

P.S. - That article looks good. Glad he came out and gave reasons why he says the things he does.

OK, for those of us who do not listen to Herbstriet on the radio what has he said in the way of proposed fixes beyond that article?

All I saw there was hire a better playcaller and get better OLinemen. Not exactly the type of expert insight and analysis one would expect.

First things first: foot please?

Next: I don't think Kirk represents OSU while on College Gameday. To do so would almost certainly jeopardize his job. On his radio show, where it's more local, it's much more appropriate to talk about the local college program. Without what would seem to be the most vital and relavent part of what Kirk does, I don't think stating the above is a wise thing to do. Look before you leap, so to speak.

Believe me, being overly critical is really tough to do with how OSU is currently running. When you made your comments and then admitted you haven't ever listened to his radio show--it's right that you get criticized. It's stating an assumption as a fact with a GOOD CHUNK of information having not been looked it.

I don't wish to degrade this into a flame war, though. Things like this tend to snowball quickly (i.e. Bollman, Zwick, et. al.). There's quite a large contingent of Buckeye fans here... it escalates quickly and people get dragged under the bus, so to speak. Not saying it's always a bad thing, but I'd hate to see it happen when it's not deserving. That is all.

No chance...they would cut you off when you start talking about Lydell's lack of testicles and how Bollman was a bloated tub of shit. Hell, they might even trace your call and send the cops if you really get rolling:)

please....i showed for a week or two that i can cut the profanity off....

wouldnt it be fun to actually hear an on air personality tell some callers just how stupid their questions are....

i say the fan tries me out late hours to prove myself.....

caller: "lydell ross is a senior and a captain, i believe he deserves a second chance to be the buckeyes feature back.."
