Billboard Stupidity coming to Columbus

They are the Uncle Rico of college football!!

"Man, back in 02, if Terry Porter hadn't thrown that flag, things would have been different. We'd have won the national championship, no doubt, NO DOUBT."

Brilliant!

I'm curious to know the national opinion on this. Obviously, OSU fans say that Miami is a bunch of crybabies, and Miami fans say OSU got lucky. But what about everyone else out there? Does anyone else even care? Or do most everyone else think Ohio State was lucky, and shouldn't have won, or that Miami is just a bunch of losers?

I started a poll on the scUM Scout site, and over 70% say we deserved the National Championship.

Obviously a lot of them said no just because they hate us and we hate them...

EDIT: Added poll:

I have no polls to back me up but my guess is the only other fans that care are USC fans. Some, not all, still try to claim the title because of the paper polls and their belief that they would have destroyed us at the end of the year.

I doubt the rest of the country even cares.

I also look at the comparisons that some USC fans are making to the billboard that LSU fans had put up near the SC campus. I honestly don't think that anyone had a problem with USC during this past season. I don't even think that most LSU fans had a problem with USC, per se. It was the over-the-top media coverage and the way that anyone in front of a camera would just concede the title and the Trojan's place in history a month before the game was played. I think that the USC-LSU billboard is more of a slap at the national media than it is at the Trojans.

The proposed Miami billboard is just Miami fans crying because their team got outplayed in a game that, like USC this year, every expert said Miami would dominate.

I bookmarked a site that shows Dustin Fox basically being stripped naked in the game with all of the offensive holding going on. Unfortunately, it is on my work computer. I'll load it up on Monday assuming this thread still has a pulse, unlike the U's football program.

Since this thread is still breathing, here is that link.

1. LSU WON the BCS Chamiponship Bowl game, the game that was designated as the NC game for that year, an agreement that USC and the PAC 10 conference agreed to when they signed onto the BCS program. LSU hazs a very legitimate gripe.

2. What the hell was such a dominant team doing that they allowed themselves to be put in a position where they had to play an overtime?

When I first read that site I was flooded with rage. So I ran and got my DVD of the game, threw it in, grabbed my dinner and a pint of John Smith's Bitter and watched the game. I nervously anticipated the ending of the game only to realize that the outcome was still the same. Imagine my relief, that the Evil geniuses known as Miami fans hadn't raised enough money to change the outcome of the game or at least altered my dvd. We can all rest easy. In case you can't tell I'm kidding. MIAMI FANS get over it. I could understand bad chinese food still upsetting you 3+ years later but a football game. Good to know thier fan base has thier priorities set. Yet another reason to be proud to be a Buckeye... we aren't Miami fans.
