TCU says its stadium ran out of fireworks for the season after 82-27 win over Texas Tech

TCU isn’t really a high-scoring team. As a matter of fact, the Horned Frogs, like their namesake, have been pretty defensive under head coach Gary Patterson. They usually let the game come to them.

So when the Horned Frogs unexpectedly cut loose and made Texas Tech eat an 82-27 loss on Saturday, the stadium staff ran out of all of the celebratory fireworks that they had for the entire season, according to Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing and Licensing Drew Martin.

In the event of an 11-1 tie, Big 12 would submit Baylor as its champion to CFP committee

With four weeks still remaining in the 2014 college football season, there is officially a lot of football left to be played. Still, that hasn’t stopped those within the industry from prepping for official doomsday scenarios, like the possibility of Baylor and TCU finishing the season tied at 11-1 and 8-1 in the Big 12 standings.

TCU is currently fifth in both major polls, one spot ahead of Baylor. The Bears, of course, handed TCU its only defeat of the season in a 61-58 thriller back on Oct. 11. The chasm was even wider in the College Football Playoff poll, where the Frogs were sixth in last week’s rankings, while Baylor was 12th.

Oklahoma football: Knight injury has ended career of other players
Saturday, Knight will miss his second consecutive game since the injury occurred and there is no clear indicator when — or if — he will return to the field either this season or beyond.

NORMAN — Knowing now what he went through, the video of the immediate aftermath of Trevor Knight’s injury against Baylor is frightening to watch.

Scrambling on fourth down, Bears linebacker Grant Campbell had Knight wrapped up. Linebacker Taylor Young dove in from Knight’s right side. Defensive end Shawn Oakman came in from Knight’s left, getting Knight in the facemask with his forearm.

Knight remained down, lifting his head and moving his legs back and forth but failing to raise his body off the grass on Owen Field.

Knight’s condition was later diagnosed as transient quadriplegia, sources said.

The seriousness of the condition can range from mild weakness that goes away in minutes to complete paralysis that lasts for hours.

That's a terrible headline. I was expecting something about the guys who caused the injury being kicked off the team or being too traumatized to continue playing.

Agreed. Because Knight got injured, other guys got injured, too? I read the entire article trying to figure out how his injury made other people injured.

Maybe it's a good headline. Kind of like the posters that say "FREE SEX!!! Just kidding, but now that I have your attention, how about I sell you this delicious door stop?"
