Big Ten Power Rankings

1. MSU
2. Minny
3. OSU
4. Purdue
5. UM
6. Wisky
7 PSU
8 Illinois
9. Northwestern
10. Iowa
11. Indiana

I really want to put OSU #1 but the breakdowns they have shown in some of their games does not warrant a #1 Power ranking. OSU must play a solid 40 minutes every night. Three things must improve: rebounding, perimeter defense, and most of all free throw shooting.

I understand what you are saying but a person doesn't need to be taken behind the woodshed:( for a person to critique his thread.
If you think my post was taking him behind the woodshed...you haven't seen many posts around here.

Everyone IS allowed their own opinion. No doubt. But if you POST your personal rankings on here, why are you, if you don't want people to say what they think about them. He posted his rankings, I said what I thought.

I guess when people post their rankings, I should just always respond with, "Great rankings!"

Upon further reflection (mostly due to Clemson's dominant win at Miami), I think some people here (including myself) underestimate Illinois. I think Illinois is good enough to finish in the top four or five this year ... the game vs. Missouri is one I'm confident that they'll win & if they do win it, I hope more people would vote them higher. I now think that Illinois is better than both Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Well, Indiania did an excellent job of solidifying their stranglehold on the #11 spot tonight. Awful outing against a very mediocre Northeastern team.

Indiania will still sneak up and bite a few Big 10 teams this year. Crean is a good coach, and they have some talent. Tonight was brutal, but they couldn't buy a bucket either.

i haven't ranked us first yet this year. with that said, i'm probably going to put us 3rd or 4th this week after having them 2nd last week.

here's my picks this week
MSU (1)
Purdue (3)
Minny (4)
OSU (2)
Scum (5)
Illinois (6)
Wiscy (7)
NW (9)
PSU (8)
Iowa (10)
Indi (11)

Losing Lighty is going to take a bigger toll on our team than even I expected (i have been very high on him this season despite the lack of offense). Minny is on a roll so they move up. I won't put scummers ahead of us right now because they are scum. 6 and 7 stay the same. No points for wiscy in my book even though they hung with Texas. They were at home and should have won. I flipped NW and PSU because PSU played sacred heart (WTF?). Iowa will have to show me something. The loss to Drake is pathetic. Indiana is indiana. This is my first time going public with my rankings. Lets have a debate on Purdue or MSU. I'm interested in hearing what you guys think.
