Big Ten Power Rankings

If Wisconsin beats Indiana, 4 teams will finish at 10-8 by your scenario,
according to my quick calculations Wisky and Minny will hold the tie breaking advantage and receive the 4 and 5 seeds respectively.
This will cause tOSU to play on Thursday as a #6 seed play in game.
Head to head among the 4 tied opponents.
Minnesota is 4-2
Wisconsin is 4-3.
tOsu is 2-2
and Psu is 1-4.

I think you meant that UW is 4-2 against the other three teams listed.

Good catch,
Wisky is indeed 4-2 against the projected teams tied at 10-8.

Wisky would however lose the next tier (2) level tie breaker because of head to head match up with Minnesota.

If these 4 teams finished 10-8, they would be seeded:
4. Minnesota vs. #5 Wisconsin on Friday
5. Wisconsin vs. #4 Minnesota on Friday.
6 tOSU vs. #11 on Thursday.
7. PSU vs. #10 on Thursday.

Actually, I was wrong too--UW is actually only 3-2 against those other three teams, having gone 0-2 against Minny, 1-0 against OSU and 2-0 against PSU. Regardless, your conclusion that Minny would be #4, UW #5, OSU #6 and PSU #7 is correct.

PSU is the one team that with 2 games left can make a statement.
With a victory tonight over Illinois and in Iowa city they would end up at 11-7.

Breaking news! flight tracker is following a zebra boarding a fast plane departing the Twin Cities and heading to Happy Valley.

Where's this weeks poll? The elitists are getting out of hand .
Well, crazy is not really a elitist and the is probably getting inside information for us:biggrin2: and Best Buckeye probably went fishing:) I doubt if the poll would have changed much from last week's anyhow. Four through eight is a crap shoot so you probably can use your imagination:confused:

Well, I am sure that someone will correct me if I am wrong but the way it is now if Minnesota and Wisconsin both win this weekend and PSU loses to Iowa we would play Iowa in the first round. However, if PSU wins against Iowa we would play Indiana in the first round. Both of these assumptions are based on Minnesota and Wisconsin both winning this weekend. If one of them loses, I think PSU would have to lose for us to avoid Iowa or Indiana.

Wow. Iowa tried to give it away but banked in a couple threes. That one with the shot clock at 1 was brutal for PSU.

Breaks my freaking heart. :)

I really don't know how Penn State won so many games this year because I just really don't think they are that good of the team. I would think that teams could put up pretty big numbers against them. They really don't have that much size and really only have 2 legitimate outside threats.

I'm sure that Kelly was trying to bank it off the backboard, have it hit the rim, and then go off the backboard a second time as the shot clock ran out. :wink2:
