Kind of curious that even though there is hardly anything for the BTN network to show at this time of the year, they won't (at least once) show the game in it's entirety on TV.

Yeah, I was kind of pissed about that... I guess their showing a condensed version of the Spring Game on Thursday at 10 though.

Has anyone tried to watch the archived Spring Game on btn.com? I've been trying since last night and haven't seen any game footage. It won't load, it just sucks. Haven't yet gotten past the ad for Eddie's show on BTN.
I'm watching; seems OK to me. I have WOW high-speed cable access. Could it be a bandwidth issue for you?

other than the 4 ctd's and watching the game on a laptop it worked well enough. didn't stop me from complaining about the game not being televised though. seemed everyone was blaming ONN for that. was onn or the btn at fault?

I would imagine Big Ten football fans were at fault. If the BTN had garnered good ratings with live coverage last year, they probably would have been able to bid more for the coverage this year. As it was, a local station bid more for the OSU Spring Game (live); or the BTN didn't bid at all. Either way, great ratings last year would have guaranteed getting on tv this year.

Those numbers would have been a little off seeing as the only providers that had the Big Ten Network for last seasons Spring Game were Satellite providers.. So then the blame could go to those responsible for the BTN not getting to Time Warner, Comcast, AT&T (although they've had it since the get go), etc.

Would have been nice to see last years spring game on TV! (If I had the channel!)

I've had BTN for over a year, and the other day I clicked to see what was on, and it has disappeared. I have comcast. Its not even there anymore. It's not like I click on it and it says its subscription. It was channel 257 and that channel doesn't even exist anymore. This time a year its no big deal, but I hope its back by basketball season.

Anyone else outside Ohio had this problem?

One of the TV providers (dish?) provided it free for the first year, and then went to subscriptions (sports package?) after that. Perhaps comcast did that on a 6 month thing. That would be my guess.

so ONN dropped the ball some how? any idea what the story behind that is? the only thing i heard from them was a ticker that stated because of rights to the programming with the btn they would not be permitted to air the game at all. i assumed from the information provided that the btn was throwing their weight around.
