I don't live in Columbus but outside of the local NBC I get WBNS-10TV, WTTE 28, WSYX 6 and WCMH 4. I understand that my local NBC will probably never be in HD but I don't understand why I can't get my 4 locals based in Columbus in HD. If I could get those in HD I'd make the full switch from Time Warner and I wouldn't have to get both. :smash:

...Did you catch a couple of shots right before breaks of passes to Beanie? Ball hit hands... ball tucked... he gone. Man he looks faster than any back at tOSU in a LONG time.

...

He did look incredibly fast for a man that size.

And he looked very comfortable catching the ball. With his wrist healthy, he is going to be a very serious threat in the passing game.

Safeties have to be hating the sound of that.

Yeah, going to see something from BW this year that we've not seen before. Going to be fun.

BTN and Verizon FIOS

Man, BTN and Verizon FIOS made a splash announcement in July when Verizon added BTN but now I am hearing that it might be 3 months before I get it in Florida. From the posts, it looks like I am missing some good content. Apparently I need to install a slingbox at my relatives in Cleveland.

No update., just copying a little rant I sent to BTN. I chewed on a T/W rep over the phone; but you'll get the jist. Anyway, just asking all T/W fans to call/e-mail both and let it rip ! It makes you feel somewhat better; I promise ! Sent this a.m. :

"You may want to review your sales team for possible job cuts because you are losing money out the ass ! See, Time Warner refers us as customers to you and back and forth it goes. If you would merely get the contract hammered out; I would switch over to digital with them immediately. As would thousands of customers in Ohio alone. And no; I am not interested in Dish, or any other satellite. ( been there - done that). So, you will continue not making the money you could by getting this settled with T/W. ( and I blame both of you; not just one party.) At least the bars and pubs thank you ! As for me, I would seriously think about reviewing your stubborn ass negotiator because of all of $$$$ going into the pockets of sports bars !"

The time may be coming. Direct TV is launching Dayton locals in HD sometime in October. If TWC isnt on board yet, i'm switching. Maybe your locals will soon follow.
