The names and logo are 'meh', but theme behind it and the new awards are all going to be great. First-class all the way.They've just created more inventory for BTN as well. Can you say "awards show"?

Other conferences will be copying these awards moves in no time, and within a few years we'll be getting promos for the SEC Football Awards shoved down our throats for half the season on ESPN.

I don't mind it one bit. The guy's still a legendary name in coaching, and for as much as people want to think of Penn State as johnny-come-latelys in the Big Ten, the man is the dean of Big Ten football coaches at this point.

Penn State fans are dickheads no doubt, but I think we can separate that from honoring Paterno in this way. I know Coach Tressel looks up to him, and that's good enough for me.

Phew, I thought the trophies being announced were also going to pertain to rivalries too, meaning the Big Ten could hand out a trophy for the Ohio State-Michigan game.

Good thing it didn't pertain to rivalries.

Nice to see the conference embrace Jack Tatum with the Tatum-Woodson Defensive Back of the Year Trophy.

But Tatum has to have his name beside that scumbag.

So, I didn't even look at the trophy list before ranting. Woody and Bo are covered in the coach of the year award. Works for me.
