How much longer are the Illini going to have to suffer with Webber? He's an average recruiter and pretty damned bad coach.
I think Webber is a decent recruiter but the one thing that I notice when I watch Illinois play is that his players just go out on the court and they do what they want to do. He just doesn't demand the same respect as most coaches do. I don't know maybe it's because the guys he does recruit.

The reality is it seems like whenever Illinois is in a toss-up game, Weber's team will lose unless he has his star player step up and hit a tough shot. And it's rare that it happens that way. Now, they have won a lot of fairly close games this year, but those were pretty much all games they were leading and all they had to do was hold on to win. The OSU game is the exception to the rule, and you saw what it took from one of his players to override the dunce late game coach factor. Many times Illinois doesn't even get a shot up in last-second situations with the shot clock off in regulation or in overtime.

Looks like Indiana is taking a tilt back to earth

lost 57-50 to Wisconsin tonight

theyve lost 4 of their last 5 with the win being against hapless State Penn (they are now 4-5 in Big 10 play)
