Big Ten Basketball Thread

I assume that it's a good thing for the big ten that Purdue beat Wisconsin at home? It will strengthen their resume, ranking and Wisconsin should not slide given the win.

OSU still enjoys a two game lead as well.

I was actually hoping that shot would go in, Illinois didn't deserve to win that game. I think I actually hate Illinois basketball more than scUM basketball. I lived in that region from '01-'06 and Illinois basketball fans are unbearable.

And probably 80% of those fans are now either fans of Kansas, Wisconsin, Duke or Texas now too

This article is from Tuesday, but I didn't come across it until this evening:

For those who aren't familiar with the struggles of PSU basketball, which has always been a second class citizen to JoePa's football program, they cannot get practice time in their own gym and have been relegated to practicing in a volleyball gym across the street, one which has no floor markings for basketball, has duct tape over the holes in the floor from the volleyball net stanchions, and rims that are either not regulation height, crooked, or both.

It's really quite embarrassing to know that this is going on at a Big Ten member institution.

The gym in my private Catholic High School with an enrollment of ~175 had six retractable backboards nicer than this.
