So it looks like USF, Memphis and Tulane have told the PAC "Fuck No." Utah State may accept, leaving both the PAC and MWC with 7 schools and both ineligible for an auto bid in the CFP. I don't understand why the PAC-2 didn't just bring in the entire MWC, which would have actually made geographic sense.

Does anyone else think it would have made a lot more sense for Oregon State and Washington State to just join the Mountain West? Does anyone think the PAC-12 brand has any value at all after all but their two lowest value members left? I'm of the opinion that the Mountain West with Oregon State and Washington State would have been a better conference than either of the PAC or MW as they are going to exist now.
