it gives Texas an easy exit from the Big XII when the ten-team mini-conference doesn't work out.

seems like Texas will always be doomed to failure until they bite the bullet and treat the conference they are in as equals, the more times they fail doing it their way the better

Bevo network will sell in any city in Texas... thats about it. I see them trying to command more money from the operators than the Big 10... and I don't see the cable companies giving in without putting it on a sports tier... even in Texas.

I whole heartedly agree. My extended family is full of Raiders and Aggies. If the Bevo network is only TU programming and it's on basic cable like BTN is for us, they will shit a brick for being forced to support those "stuck up assholes" in Austin.

Bus, I don't know. But, I think blowing up the Big XII is worth it just on principle. They're worse than the Big Least now, in my opinion... adding TCU, BYU and Air Force, in my opinion, makes it worse. 20 Million for empty TV sets isn't gonna last long.

Couldn't disagree less... I'm not even sure it doesn't ultimately happen... just pondering the mechanics of it all...

In ESPN's eyes it might be more value in stopping the super conference expansion. IF the Big Ten landed ND and Texas along ESPN would have to pony up way more money for the B10 rights anyway. This way the BTN doesn't get as big of a kick and the PAC 10 (12?) doesn't have enough ammo to start their own network.

Although even if the hole PAC 16 scenario did happen I don't know well a network would do anyway.

You're probably right from ESPN's perspective... but, it's bad business for a conference... witness the Nebraska and Colorado getting out as soon as they could. The Conf. was already held together with duck tape. If it's being help together owing to ESPN's interest.. it'll fail... that interest isn't aligned with the Big XII's interest. (Keep Texas happy v. Keep conference happy)

It may be the kool-aid I'm drinking, but the Domers aren't going to kow-tow to the B10 until the SEC makes their move. A piddling move to attract Texas A&M ain'ta gonna do it. They're going to have to either raid the ACC or the Big East. Either way, that forces ND's hand (if raid Big East, then they go ACC or die. If SEC takes on some ACC schools (Miami, Va Tech, etc) then the ACC will take what it can from the Big East to survive).

Texas to the Pac10 isn't a far fetched idea. They can dominate, and play USC every year for the championship. Actually is a bit closer airtime wise as well. No, my game theory is focused on watching what the SEC is going to do, and I predict they'll run up the coast and pick off some ACC schools. Then the ACC will raid the Big East and render them impotent, which forces Notre Dame to come crawling to the B10. Smooth.

:gobucks3::gobucks4::banger: Sayonara to the B12 and Big East.

Still want the hot chick, Oh8ch?

My initial response was that although on closer inspection she had a touch of acne, with a body like that I was willing to put a bag over her head and enjoy her for the glory of the conference.

But if everything we are reading is accurate (and they are after all reports from "sources" close to the process) she appears to be a stuck up skanky cheating slut.

I don't want to feel the need for a condom every time the BTN welcomes me to Austin.

On the other hand, she was only available because Delany tried to steal her boyfriend. We did start this and there are reportedly factions at UT who have the same low opinion of us that many here are developing for the Longwhores. And with some cause.

As others have pointed out, the good news is she is back with her old boyfriend and we know it will never work because he can't afford her high maintenance ways. That gives us time to strut our stuff and remind her of what she is missing.

So yes, I still want Texas. Not under any circumstances, but with reasonable concessions that the rest of the harem can live with. It is up to Delany et al to make sure no "fast ones" are pulled and that a well written, iron clad pre-nup is in place.

Then we can strap on a ball gag and get down to some serious S&M.

Missouri should get a B10 invite immediately after UT's presser tomorrow...and then implode the Big East to force ND's hand.
And it would also leave Texas stuck in a nine-team conference....

Maybe the Big Ten has been really cagey all along ... (1) fill your 12th slot by snagging the Big XII team farthest from the conference's power base in Texas ... (2) give a nod and a wink to the Pac 10 to go after Colorado, the other school that didn't really fit in the Big XII ... (3) see how the dominos fall .... (4) if Texas remains stubborn, snag a second Big XII school like Missouri ... (5) watch aTm and Oklahoma sell their souls to the SEC, watch Big XII commish try to convince everyone that BYU and Tulsa are viable options ... (6) if Texas still remains stubborn, raid the Big East to fill two more slots ... (7) watch Texas and Notre Dame squirm as their respective conferences dissolve and their TV$ dry up....

This could get fun.
