This season's Big East is as deep and broad in talent (on-court and bench both) as any conference in any season I remember. Not sure they don't deserve double-digit teams in the Dance.

I'll pick Pitt.

I'm tired of everyone talking about how amazing the Big East is without prefacing it by the fact that they have SIXTEEN TEAMS!!!

Mike Francesa spent yesterday afternoon ripping the expanded field as well, and said the following about Depaul:

"When the school doesn't even send their band and cheerleaders... you know they don't want to be there."
"When they don't even reserve hotel rooms for the players... you know they don't want to be there."
"When the team keeps its packed overnight bags stowed behind the bench... you know they don't want to be there."
"When the players have their plane tickets sticking out of their back pockets during the game... you know they don't want to be there."

They have sixteen teams, but the Big East is amazing!!

Even DePaul can beat decent teams.

#16 DePaul 67, #9 Cincy 57 today.

Time to re-schedule those return flights and book some hotel rooms.

St. John's took out Georgetown, 64-59. How Pomeroy had G'Town at 24 in his ratings is a mystery to me. They're 16-14 with today's loss.

They wouldn't be this stacked.

Maybe not this year, but in a strong year for the Big Ten it would be. I'm not saying the Big East isn't a great conference this year.

It's the "ZOMGZ!!!!!111!!!!1! BEST CONFERENCE EVAR!@!!!!#@!$!" talk that irks me.

That does seem odd.

Earlier in the season, Gtown looked like a dangerous team. By the end of the season they looked dangerous primarily to their coach's tenure. (No, I don't suggest Thompson is on the hot seat, but a few more seasons like this and his butt will start to get toasty.)

It probably doesn't help that I live in Big East country and my girlfriend is not only a Syracuse alum, but got to cut down a strand of the net when they won the title in 2003.

What a relief that there aren't any Syracuse fans on BP, those 'Cuse fans are worse than the Dookies!
