Caught looking. Damn. Shoulda woulda coulda.

In the end today its was lack of execution that killed the Bucks. Great pitching again today and the fielding mistakes along with quiet bats did us in. Great run Bucks. All we can do now is pray. Doesn't look good for a post season berth at all.

With so much talent on this team its heart-breaking to end it like this. Going to have a great pitching staff next year but lose some big bats. Ronnie will go in the draft within the first three rounds, and thats going to leave a gaping hole.

I guess maybe one thing going for us is that the committee is in Indianapolis all weekend in a hotel deciding on the field of 64. Maybe we can get some Bucks in the area to order them in some nice room service! :biggrin:

Nope. Barring a miracle the season is over. Great run, but not good enough. We hashed out our at-large chances in another thread - they aren't good. 5 consecutive losses to m*ch*gan, do they deserve to be in the tourney?

Overall, solid year for the Bucks. Should have been better, but can't dwell on that now. Congrats and thanks, Seniors.

Wolverines knock out Buckeyes

Ohio State failed to reach its fifth straight Big Ten tournament championship game, falling 3-2 to Michigan yesterday in Ann Arbor, Mich.
The Buckeyes (37-21) were eliminated from the tournament and the Wolverines (40-19) advanced to face Minnesota for the title.

Three OSU errors and a wild pitch allowed the Wolverines to take a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the sixth. They stretched the lead to 3-1 on a suicide squeeze in the eighth inning.

Ohio State’s Matt Angle had a double to right-center field in the top of the ninth to score J.B. Shuck. But with two outs, Eric Fryer struck out looking.
The one-run decision was the third in five meetings this season against Michigan, all of which were won by the Wolverines.
