McGee pleads guilty to poor driving

Northwestern coach was originally charged with DUI

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Northwestern offensive coordinator Garrick McGee has pleaded guilty to reckless driving and speeding, according to court records.

McGee originally was charged with driving under the influence and speeding in Tulsa on Christmas Eve. He entered a guilty plea on March 21 in Tulsa County District Court to a reduced charge of reckless driving.

Serge Elizee plans to switch schools just a few months after signing with the Gophers as a junior college transfer, the Star Tribune reports. According to Elizee, there was a miscommunication with the former coaching staff at Minnesota. He planned to major in business but was not accepted into the Carson School of Management.......

UW football: Bielema uses Badgers' hefty win total as selling tool

CHICAGO -- Prominently displayed on the inside cover of the University of Wisconsin football team's 2007 media/recruiting guide is a factoid that Badgers coach Bret Bielema doesn't hesitate to point out to prospective recruits.
Bielema sometimes morphs from salesman to game-show host to drive home his point: Which Big Ten Conference program, he quizzes the prospects, has recorded the most victories over the past three seasons?
Ohio State or Michigan, they usually say. Wrong, Bielema gleefully points out.
The answer is UW, which has 31 wins since the start of the 2004 season. Not only is that more than Ohio State (30) and Michigan (27), it's tied for the sixth-highest total nationally in that span.

Well talk about stacking the question to favor his side.... I mean we could ask them a legit question, Who has won the most NC's since 2000 of Big Ten teams? Or who has the most undefeated regular seasons of the Big Ten teams since 2000? So Wisc can take there weak stat and stick it up there... I mean has Wisconsin even won the Big Ten lately? Or won an NC like ever?

Before criticizing the SEC, Delany pointed out the Big Ten's recent success against the league: a 2-1 record against SEC teams in bowl games last season; an 8-6 record against SEC teams in bowl games the last five years; and 15 BCS berths to the SEC's 13. Delany also noted that Big Ten teams have produced five Heisman Trophy winners in the past 15 years, compared to the SEC's one.

Tressel said Ohio State's bad loss to the Gators wasn't a result of the Buckeyes' being slower...


"In my mind, there isn't any difference," Zook said. "We have every bit the speed that they do. In my mind, there is no question that this league can compete against anyone in the country."

It's time for Big Ten teams to start doing it.

In the bowl games against the SEC we always play a higher tier sec team.our 3 against their 2 it seems like that in the bowls we play out west also.
