Am I correct in saying that we all want BG to win this game tonight? It seems that it would only help our SOS. If it was any other year I would like to see the 'Skins win but I will be cheering on the Falcons just this once.

I think a BGSU win helps us the most- some feel a Miami win keeps Iowa's SOS higher which could move them into the top 10 (this would give us quality win points) but you know if BGSU wins out they might get into the top 10 at the end of the year- Too many reasons not to root for BGSU

What a game. It really should have been more decisive than what the score indicated. Being a Miami grad, I was at a quandary. Do I root for my alma mater and second favorite team or BG to help our SOS? Not only would BG winning help our SOS, but I believe it may have also played a slight roll in the computer and human polls, but there is still too much that needs to happen in order for our Bucks to get to the Sugar, besides winning out. Miami winning is not all that bad, though. It helps our opponents/opponents component of SOS for Iowa, Northwestern, and BG. So what did I decide before the game...Go Hawks!

Well BG didn't help us but I don't think that it is going to hurt us as bad as I figured out to begin with. If you look at our remaining schedule there is no arguement that we do have the toughest road to hoe, of the 1 loss teams. If we win out, which I am about 5050 on I don't see how we don't wind up #2 as long as MSU, Purdue and scUM don't go into the tank, is there a game that I am forgetting about in there? The worst part about it is that the other teams have a much easier way to go about it but as they say anything can happen. Worst come to worse, we win out we are going to Pasadena, who ever thought that would be said?
