Best Play Ever (15 laterals for Trinity)

I remember that DuBose Alabama Orange Bowl (Losing to Brady and Michigan. I remember that game rather vividly. It was when I realized that Tom Brady would be good. I then spent the next 4 months hyping up how Brady should be drafted high, because he was going to be the next big thing. It's a true story. I am not making this up. Instead, my Steelers drafted Tee Martin instead. I could have lived with Marc Bulger, who was still available at the time. But Tee?!?!?!?).

Don't forget this guy:

If anything, DuBose was lucky to inherit a Bama team with that guy.

This play is your ESPY winner! Was talking to Jay Crawford on the phone while he was watching for the first time. They're trying to get no.7 to come on the show to talk about the play. He touched the ball 4 times during the mayhem and also got drilled 3 times. It was his fourth touch where he took the bounced lateral to the house!

We disected that play for about 10mins over the phone today. It easily trumps Cal and Stanford! The guy calling the play will live in sports broadcasting history too.

Best play ever? I'm going to keep my vote for the play on fourth and goal at the one during the second overtime in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl. But this play would have to be in the top five. Maybe the worst thing about this play, unfortunately, is that it didn't include any big-name teams in a critical game. It's unfortunate because that shouldn't be something that affects the "size" of the play.
