My favorite unintentionally funny line was by one of the interviewers outside beforehand, talking to Annette Bening and Warren Beatty. He wished her luck and said something like, "I'm sure you've got plenty of room on your mantel...um, I mean, I'm sure there's stuff up there already."

I normally really like Chris Rock, and think he is one of the most hilarious comics out there, but last night I thought his whole act was pretty boring and way out of place at the Oscars. I mean the whole thing is supposed to be about honoring all the actors/actresses and movies and all that, and if you're gonna try to cut down on a bunch of the people there, at least be funny. And Chris, please, we've heard enough of the black jokes.

Actors getting awards for doing one of the easiest jobs in the country. Where are the Network cameras for a presentation of a Bronze Star or a Congressional Medal of Honor? Why aren't they there for a graduation of Firefighters or Law Enforcement Officers? Where are they for the opening ceremonies of the Special Olympics? Where the fuck are they for the shit that actually matters?

Kudos to the local networks that use valuable aritime to applaud class valedictorians and local heroes who spend their time trying to make a differnce. Kudos to those who use their celebrity to support the troops despite their feelings for the campaign.

Fuck the Golden Globes, Oscars, Grammies, Tonies, and the whole lot of em. Fuck Chris Rock who claimed he wasn't going to bash Bush, and then spent 5 minutes doing just that on a global stage. Fuck Michael Moore for not doing Supersize Me and keeling over on day 20.

Kudos to the academy for blowing off Fatass 911 and Bashing of the Christ. Its Bullshit that Shrek 2 didn't win best animated feature. Kudos to whoever dreamt up the idea of putting Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz on stage together. Fuck you to the producer and camera man that panned to Jamie Foxx and Morgan Freeman in the audience everytime Chris Rock made one of his tiresome black jokes. What were they looking for? Them to have their right fist raised and their head down?
