A Chipotle down the street opened up here about 2 months ago. But before they opened they wanted to do a sort of "training" day the day before so the employees could get used to what they be doing. So they let our school have a fund raiser there. $5 at the door and you get whatever you want. The school got all the money. They were ringing it all up as the day went on the total was at about $300 when we left. Hell the cheapest thing there costs like $5.40. They gave out flyers at school for it. I payed my $5 and got in line. Ordered some tacos and sat down and ate. I got back up in line and the principal was like, "No you have to pay $5 each time you go thru the line". I looked at him and showed him the flyer which said $5 at the door, all you can eat. He still wanted to charge me again and I just sat down. A couple minutes later I walked right back up to the counter and ordered my food. The workers there didn't care. Hell I even got a take-home bag on the way out.
What the hell are you eating there?
If you want to get full don't get the tacos. A burrito should be enough to fill up anyone. Throw in chips and salsa if you need more.
No way they lose money. The ingredients to make a pizza wouldn't even cost a dollar.
I mainly see redneck hilljacks in there with huge ass boilers pounding down the grub.
BTW, you from the Newark area or just weekend there?
For me, it's no contest.
Shepherd's Pie at Mac's Cafe.
how was the food the other time you were there?I've only been there a few times, but the last time I was there I was not happy at all. the burrito, I thought, was pretty nasty and I was starving and still only really ate half of it. Whether its the food in general, or I just got a bad burrito, I'm not sure but for me it'll take something to get me back in there.
