Best Bowling Scores and Stories

204 a couple years ago. Hit 192 one other time and those were the only times I ever topped 180. I like bowling, but Mrs. Katt doesn't like it, so I don't get to go more than once a year.

Not sure if this is an interesting story or not.

300

Back in '96 I had a bad foot (heal spur) and had been walking with a limp for a year and a half. In December (about half way through my season) my whole leg started hurting very bad but I had no idea why. On the night of December 19th we had leagues and I showed up in a lot of pain in my leg. I don't know if the pain helped me focus but my bowling was on that night. I bowled a 300 the first game, a 210 the next game and a 193 the third game for a 703 series. The next day I had my leg checked out (for the leg pain, I already knew about the spur) and found out that I bowled a 300 with a heal spur in my heal and a blood clot that ran the entire length of my leg. I was in the hospital for a while after that.

BTW, this was a church league and about the 7th frame I'm totally trying to focus on anything other than what I bowling so that I didn't panick. This old man walks up and looks up at the board and says "you got one heck of a game going there, don't mess up and you could roll a 300". I wanted to flatten him but as I said, it was a church league.

Big deal. Chuck Norris bowled 16 consecutive 300s with two broken hands.

Haha but just kidding, good story. I bet your leg didn't feel so bad after you got that last strike.

What would you guys rather do, though. Bowl a 300, or get a hole in one in golf? Assume that you would have witnesses in both cases.

I coach the bowling team at my HS, but I suck at bowling, b/c I don't practice myself. Out team isn't very good, b/c our kids don't live in the bowling alley like the kids from the schools that are good, it is just something to do in the winter for them.

Back when I was in 5th grade. My elementary school had a bowling league. I had a 105 average going into the last week. I ended up bowling a 143 the first game and then a 175 the second game.

During that season I at times bowled 130 for a high and other days I bowled less than 70.

We already tied up the division title the week before. That day meant nothing as far as our standings.

There was two divisions(American and National), we won the league bowling championship in the American division I believe(me, my brother and another kid).

Those 143 and 175 games won me the high handicap score average title for the league.

But did not win me the high average. The kid that won it was in the other division and averaged 192 a game. This kid was a 5th grader!

Last year I went to one of those all night bowling things on New Years Eve. Hadn't bowled in almost a year. Bowled about 10-12 games that night. About halfway thru I bowled a 207 and 215 in consecutive games.

Enough about your bowling, back to the swim team stories.......

Did you meet any chicks?

Did they dig your Speedo?

Well it was a Sectional Meet

Girls swam in the morning/early-afternoon and Boys swam in the late-afternoon/night.

I went to the girls competition at 7:00 AM. Lots of girls there. Although I wasn't going to swim until 3:00.

That was a long day. I only had 6 hours of sleep that night and almost feel asleep before the 400 Relay.

Oh yea BTW, I don't wear a speedo, I wear "jammers". Basically a speedo that goes down to your knees.
