Beowulf Animated movie

Obviously we're looking for the 'why'... not what medium on which you observed these similarities.

Sorry, thought it was obvious. Like OCBW already guessed, The "I am Beowulf!" line reminded me of the "This is Sparta!!!" line. But in addition to that, the animation looks almost exactly the same. I'm not talking about the plot. I honestly have no idea what it's about. It just looked like it was copying 300's style which is the reason it was a hit, because it sure as hell wasn't the plot or acting. It doesn't look like an original film. Anyway, I was asking because I hadn't seen it. I wasn't accusing it of being a rip-off.

"300" was shot primarily with live actors in front of a bluescreen with CGI effects added in later.

"Beowulf" was shot completely in 3D motion capture suits with CGI backgrounds and foregrounds added later.

The animation style is, as mentioned previously, is like "Polar Express."
