Marvin Frazier, the New Jersey-based agent for Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, today denied a Kenton Country prosecutor's claim that Henry failed a drug test.

"The final result is negative," Frazier told the Enquirer. "It's all (nonsense)."

Frazier said he talked this afternoon with Bengals player relations director Eric Ball, and Ball told Frazier that the final test was negative.

Ken Easterling, a Kenton County prosecutor, today said initial results indicated that Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry failed a drug test.

However, Easterling stressed that Kenton County is awaiting final analysis from the Kentucky state lab.

"We cannot confirm or deny (Henry's test sample) contains a controlled substance," he said.

Easterling talked to the Enquirer following comments made by Kenton County prosecutor Gary Edmondson, who told television reporters this morning that Henry failed the drug test and that he could be facing jail time.

More testing needed on Bengals' Henry

DAN SEWELL

Associated Press

CINCINNATI - Prosecutors say more testing is needed to determine whether Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, who has been suspended by the NFL and is on probation in criminal cases in two states, failed a drug screening.
Henry is on probation in Kentucky for letting minors drink in a hotel room he rented and in Florida for carrying a concealed weapon.
Henry's agent, Marvin Frazier, insisted that the drug test was negative, and the Bengals said they were awaiting more information from authorities in Kenton County, Ky., where the screening took place.

Henry After being falsely accused of failing a drug test that could have ended his NFL career, Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry was cleared Wednesday by the state of Kentucky and his lawyer says he's owed an apology.
On Monday, the Kenton County Attorney's Office almost immediately backed off public statements that Henry had failed a drug test that would have violated his probation and sent him to jail for 88 days. But on Wednesday the state of Kentucky released the following statement:

OK, sorry Chris, this is the one time you were thought to be zoned out that you actually were not.

I and many other Bengal fans remain once (twice or more) bitten, still shy when it comes to seeing your name in the headlines.

Guy sounds like a complete dick.

Lotz is asked about Henry and responds in a "hinky" fashion (Hinky? Fuckin' Kentuckians)
Garry mentions some (now disproved) rumor to a reporter,
Reporter runs with the story (that's a shock, right?),
Rumor turns out to be false,
Garry is confronted about spreading the rumor and blames it on someone else for acting "hinky" (WTF does that even mean?),
Garry refers to Henry as a lowlife who doesn't deserve pity.

Unreal. Don't get me wrong. I don't feel at all bad for Chris Henry and he IS a lowlife, but you'd think attorneys would have learned from the Duke situation about what happens when you try to hold trial in the media. Shit.
