Bengals(-6.5) at Browns

Bengals fans should have been concerned after the way the defense got torched in the third preseason game by the Falcons.

I don't care if you think it's my Super Bowl. Living in Cincinnati, the Bengals hilarious collapse last season and this week's Browns game are the gifts that keep on givin'. I don't care if the Bengals win every game from here until the Browns come to town in December - every time somebody starts running their mouth about how "awesome" the Bengals are, I can just remind them of how the BROWNS dropped FIFTY on them.

And I said congrats on your version of the super bowl... The thing that gets me is you think the Browns are MUCH better than the Bengals... The only two good things for the Browns to take from this game is 1. Derek Anderson isn't so bad and 2. you won.. Other than that I'd be pretty disappointed in the play of the Browns. But of course you couldn't look at it that way! A win is a win right? Well when you give up 45 points and manage to win, you should be a bit worried. Then again I don't know a thing about football, I let ESPN do the thinking for me, right? :roll2:
What ARE you talking about? BillyMac and Jwins touched on most of it..

Where did I, or anyone here, say the Browns are "MUCH" better than the bengals? Please respond with a quote.

1. Derek Anderson may be bad still, the Bungal DBs are plain horrendous. Wacthing Leon Hall get burned play after play was like a flash back.

2. We did win. Yet bengal fans are pitchin a bitch and makin excuses. Or belittling the win with the above mentioned 'superbowl' comments. Uhh, news flash bungals, in the AFC you BEST take the wins any way you can get them, and the browns are as close to a gimmie as you can get. :slappy:

Why would I be dissapointed in the browns? Sure, they gave up 40+ points but hey at least it was to a solid and proven NFL offense, not Derek Anderson. Not to mention, after last week, almost anything would be an improvement. Correct me if i'm wrong, the goal is to get better every week. I saw an improvement from week 1 to week 2. No beef, and it's nice to win a game against a divisonal opponet.

The ESPiN thing was a jab in good fun, don't hold onto it. :tibor:

That's not belittling the win... That's response from how all Browns fans are acting.. They won for the first time in 2+ years and now they are going berserk.. Another thing, take that improvement with a grain of salt.. Granted the Bengals played semi "well" against the Ravens but still show no signs of improvement. I love talking football but hearing some of the bashing the Bengals are getting is pretty sad... Bash the D all you want (i even jabbed here and there on another site) or even the D-Coord (who deserves to have his balls removed through his asshole after that performance) but not the team as a whole. If it wasn't for the Bengals offense they would have been absolutely embarrassed in both the first and second games of the season.

I can give 2 shits about what happened when it was the AFL, now where is the franchise, oh wait once moved to Baltimore and left the Dawg pound wanting scraps. I agree the Browns are rebuilding but the Bengals have rebuilt, but need some work on D.

If I was a bengal fan, I hope not.

The colts will score at will. The pats will (cheat) score at will. The stoolers may even score at will. The most disturbing part, the browns DID score at will.
I going with Bleed S & G on this one.

If you have a complete absence of defense you have not rebuilt.

Actually, a win IS a win. And when you score 45 points and manage to lose, you should be a bit more worried than us Browns fans. :roll2:

1. The Browns fans are acting as if they actually had NO SHOT to win the game, but yet they did. That's how Browns fans are acting. With good reason. Who Dey? (I forget how the rest of that cute little saying goes)

2. The teams entered yesterday's game with a 34-33 series history, with the Bengals entering the game with the sweet, albeit short-lived, all-time series advantage. But yet I keep forgetting that the Bengals have always been better. Every year. Even when there was no Browns. And the Bengals still couldn't sniff the second season. In fact, the Browns took 4 years off, started back up in a hurry with an embarrassingly inept front office/ownership, made just about the worst 1st Draft Pick ever, and still made it back to the playoffs before the Bengals.

3. As it stands, the Bengals were certainly embarrassed in the second week of the season. Doubtful anything tops this one, so I guess you could say things can only get better? :shake::slappy:

Congrats to the Browns fans, it's like your superbowl.

Funniest sign I saw, said chad johnson, all bling no ring.......you know because browns fans have so many rings to brag about.

As for this quote, look the Bengals defense is not going to be good this year, no one really said they would be, but they are also not as bad as they were yesterday. Take how good they looked against the Ravens, and how bad they looked yesterday and the true defense is somewhere in between.

So go ahead browns fans brag all you want, you deserve it, but come back and tell me what it feels like when you team doesn't make the playoffs, since the Bengals will be playing in January this year.

Bucks89 isn't the same username as Buckeyefool so I'm confused as to why you'd explain your "superbowl" quote if it wasn't yours

He made a good point... I'm not claiming that quote as mine, it was just a good term used for that situation.
