Extra Stout is the nectar from God

If you like the Extra Stout, then you might like Sam Adams Triple Bock too. Wow! Talk about a punch to it. Very unique. Also an aquired taste imo. The place we bought it from, the beer expert on staff said that it is intended to sip an 8 ounce bottle over an hour or more.

I've only had it twice. Once when we heard about it, then a year an a half later just to check and make sure it was as 'rough' as I thought I remembered the several months before...it was.

Only problem is it's illegal to sell in Ohio and a few other states (we went to Kentucky) and it's very expensive as I recall (I think a 4 pack of 8 ounce bottles was something like $15 several years ago (8 - 10 yrs).

But hey, I'm willing to try most anything once (or twice ).

I guess my balls haven't dropped yet 'cause that triple bock tasted a bit like a cougar shat in me mouth.

I don't like the Triple Bock, but the Double Bock is really tasty.

The Sunday Independent reported the land could fetch as much as ?3 billion if Diageo implements plans to move production to a greenfield site on the outskirts of the capital.

Get paid 3 Billion Euros by moving the brewing operation?

BRILLIANT!

I don't like gagness one bit but the difference between can/bottle and tap is night and day in my opinion. Too dark and thick for my tastes and it seems to be one of beers along with Heineken that Americans think are the penultimate of euro brewing. If I'm going Euro on beer Stella or Kronenberg 1664

A pint of Guiness straight-away isn't my thing at all... If I want to splurge, I'll find Stella or Hoegarden on tap somewhere - those are good Euro beers.

But the local biker bar (The Smiling Skull) is right by my office and is the last stop on the Friday night Court St crawl before heading home and they make a MEAN, I mean fierce Black and Tan.
