No criticism intended of the Buckeyes when I say "back into;" any team in the game this season will have backed its way there.

Let's face it, should USC win out with a stomping of ASU and UCLA their two losses will be forgiven by the So Cal press, the first or second biggest media market in the country and the only one of the two with a real college football conference in its midst. They will fight hard to keep the Buckeyes right where they need them... in the Rose Bowl.
If LSU should come back and blow the doors off of Tennessee... no I don't see Kentucky winning this game... It will be hard to keep LSU out of the NC game. Best team in the best conference...
Or the BCS becomes a 1 loss WVU vs 1 loss Kansas NC game in which case there will be a lot of eyes on the Rose Bowl as "The Real NC Game."

That seems implausible; however, just a week ago it looked like we were guaranteed a trip to the Rose Bowl.. and Michigan still sucks.

A guy that comes in to my work is one of the audio guys for OSU. After the Illinois loss he was on an elevator with a couple of representatives from the Sugar Bowl. He said that one of the reps. remarked to him "we are very disappointed that you guys lost this one........" essentially implying that they were really pulling for the Bucks to get there, given the way that our fans travel and spend.
If it comes down to Missouri or Kansas vs. WVU, I can't help but think that OSU will leap frog one of those teams and get in. These bowls want the big name schools with big tradition. Those schools have a much more die hard fan base, and have a plethora of folks who will travel.
Call it a hunch, but I think that we'll be in the title game regardless of how the rest of the season shakes out.

Who knows though, if I could predict the BCS this year accurately I would be making a lot more money.
