Nah, its that Big East SPEED! LOL. Now we get to hear for a year about how USC, GA, and WVU would have beaten LSU and the bucks. BS. Bring the best game to the table with any of these teams, and they have the talent to beat anyone else. Its a fact of life, these kids are human, and humans are not consistent, period.

All in all with last years game considered, I am still confident Tressel will have these kids focused.

White Slayton and Devine are burners....whatever conference they are in.

it's gettin closer. gettin excited. really like our chances in this game as far as being prepared and being focused. don't like the home field advantage but if we make some plays early we can eliminate that. pound beanie until they stop him and play action to robo. our defense has answered the bell all season. a big special teams play can really make a huge difference in this one. 3 days away. O-H-

Don't forget about that "run away beer truck" of a fullback they got.

They just played like their balls were on fire.

That's just it too. Oklahoma didn't play very well, and it showed in their faces after just the FIRST td from WVU.

Honestly I hope that both teams come out just rearing to play so we get a GREAT game to watch. The emotion factor was just not there for us last year in the NCG. Matt Wilhelm did not run 4.4 40's, but damn did that boy move against Miami, or what!?!? Being Laurinaitis's second shot, I feel a BIG energy surge coming from our defensive side of the ball. If we can fire on all cylinders, they won't break 10 points, and Tressel will NOT take any risks at that point.

I would love nothing more than a shutout.
:oh:

an Ohio State blog, Eleven Warriors, posted this bit of rumor concerning the defense:

In the last few practices in Columbus, the Buckeyes spent quite a good amount of time working in spread sets with Henton at quarterback.
Laurinaitis did not practice for two sessions and was on the sidelines, in sweats, for both sessions.
Overall, the defense is having trouble stopping the scout team offense. Lots of missed assignments, people out of position, folks forgetting their man and leaving them to make a perceived play, etc. They look earnest, and are focused, but are struggling defensively.

this sounds fishy to me, but because it's also oddly specific as to the goings on, it does make me worry somewhat. can anybody shed some light on this?

You mean that hairlipped mohawk-wearin' Jethro D. Bonehead? If that fuck isn't an inbred I don't know what is...

I'd like to introduce Kevin Pittsnogle, former WVU basketball center.

The same "source" in that blog entry also said that Albert Dukes is the best receiver on the team. We all know he has plenty of talent, but he has shown nothing even in garbage time early in the season to indicate to me that he's better than a handful of other players on the team. I'm taking that entire update with a giant rock of salt.

Tressel practices have been closed for half a decade. Yet on the eve of an enormous game, where they're grooming a brand new package, this level of detail can be discovered?

Fishy is right.
