Oh There is never any problem noticing BB73's adams apple, my last post was concerning male hooker body parts. Even My geriatric ass can't see that.

...I guess you forgot to take your "Witty Comeback" pill this morning.

Stick to bingo and rep circles.

This simulation from Scout predicts a 26-0 win for LSU

Scout.com: VIRTUAL TIGERS: LSU vs. Ohio State
Wow...just fucking wow. How could they even allow that to be posted?

Check this shit out...a 14:10 drive?

Beginning on its own 25 yard line, LSU engineered a 12-play, 73-yard drive that ended with a 24-yard Colt David field goal. Even though the yield was just three points, the Tigers took up all but 50 seconds of the third quarter with the possession.

One of the most common activities for Ohio State fans is to compare the current edition of the Buckeyes to the teams of yesteryear. It is most common to compare great teams to the National Champions of old. Hence, there have been some great posts comparing this year's bunch to some past teams. Jax had a great thread comparing this season to 1957 (downright eerie). 808 just made a great post, minutes ago, in the Tressel thread, comparing this year to 2002.

But to me, the 1998 season has parallels that are unique.

  • There was the late season head-scratcher of a loss in the 'Shoe (that teams only loss).
  • The 1998 Buckeyes played their bowl in the Superdome (1999 Sugar Bowl against Texas A&M).
  • The 1998 Buckeyes returned to the same bowl that they had lost the year before (the Sugar).
    • The BCS-CG is in fact the same bowl, even if the location has changed.
But that's where the similarities end, Buckeye-wise.
But there is one similarity to the team that DID win that year's NC.
  • Tennessee won the 1998 NC -- the year immediately following the departure of their best-ever quarterback (Peyton Manning).

Alrighty then, I'm gonna make my prediction now..

While I wouldn't mind seeing a meteor hit the stadium and spare me from watching two teams I despise, I do expect this game to go down right to the wire. I think it will be a back and forth matchup and I could see something as exciting as some of the recent NC games (USC/Texas, OSU/Miami etc..)

Ohio State Buckeyes 24
LSU Tigers 23

MOP: Beanie Wells 32 carries, 163 yards, 3 TD.

I will now wander onto oncoming traffic...
