he's got a point.
It's not the HC's responsibility or place to influence those decisions.

I can't get it to link here from my phone for some reason, but Jason King on Twitter is reporting that Briles and Baylor have reached a settlement. Details unclear.
Hopefully the details are Briles has to get raped by every Baylor football player who has been accused, the ones with STDs going first, in front of all of the victims [PEDSTATE]or whatever you call them[/PEDSTATE]. Then the victims get to rape Briles and the football players with splintered broom handles.
THEN he loses all his money
I meant just in terms of his being entitled to get paid under his contract with Baylor. His moral responsibility to the students of Baylor or humanity in general is a whole other thing.
A private bible thumping community college? Some of the local guys where going back and forth a bit hyperbolically saying with the title IX and possibly feds involved the Uni might go broke and end up being a community college... doubt it would happen but if its bad as people say then i'd love to see that happen as threat to other uni's
Art Briles reportedly reaches contract settlement with Baylor
Though Art Briles will not coach for Baylor again — as it appears as of this moment — the school and its former coach have not yet officially parted ways. There are details still to be ironed out. Forty million of them, to be exact.
Considering Baylor’s status as a private university and the clandestine nature in which it does business, it’s unclear at this time if we’ll ever know how much Baylor will pay Briles not to coach. Reports pegged the target number Baylor was hoping to pay around $20 million.

Jax, I know that what you wrote is legally correct. And because, like Notre Dame, it's a private institution, and because they settled out of court, the public will have no access to documents. And if they can reach agreements with the victims they can keep much of what happened out of the news. And if they can do that, this case will be turned into "blame the victims" who "ruined a great coach and a great program."you know, this doesn't even really bother me that much to be honest. It's a negotiated settlement between two parties that had a contract. If Baylor was 100% in the clear they wouldn't have paid him a dime.
I read this as more of a self indictment by Baylor that they were more complicit in this than they want publicly acknowledged. To the tune of about $15MM complicit it would appear which, again reading tea leaves here, seems like he maybe had a little on them but not a lot.
Not commenting on my personal wish to see Briles turked by a syphilitic bear or to see Baylor burnt to the ground. Just that I don't see this as an indictment of the legal system so much as 2 scumbag parties doing business.
