Baylor +12.5 at West Va (ov/un 79.5) Sat noon FX

Next week will be a big factor if Geno wins the heisman. If he rips up Texas on the road he will be the clear front runner.

The rest of the Big12 (besides TCU) isnt anywhere close defensively. He should shred them like RG3 last year. WVU has the best WR corps in the nation and they will have their way vs any Big12 secondary.

I hope Geno stays as the front runner. If he fails the immediate guy that becomes #1 is Braxton Miller who is basically everyone's runner-up at this point (CBS, ESPN, etc) and you can believe he'll hear/see the media eventually. That is too much pressure for a 19 year old sophmore. 2013 is the year for Braxton imo. And it would be awful to waste a heisman winning year on a team that cant go to the post season.

Morgantown Street Fires Destroy Cars
Staff
Morgantown

Fire investigators and city officials met Monday morning in Morgantown to discuss how to move forward after a rash of street fires over the weekend causes more than $35,000 in damage.

Morgantown Fire Marshal Ken Tennant said seven street fires were set early Sunday morning. When mattresses were set ablaze on Cass Street, the flames spread to nearby cars, causing a gas tank to rupture and three vehicles to be destroyed. A home along Cass Street also sustained minor damage.

Tennant said officials believe the initial fire was set at about 5:19 a.m. Sunday. Fires were set on Grant Avenue, Spruce Street, Jones Avenue, McLane Alley and Cass Street, though Tennant said it's unclear if they are related. He also said it was unclear whether students were involved.

Morgantown has long had trouble with street and dumpster fires. Tennant said they are typically minor and don't cause as much damage as the blazes set over the weekend.

"In years past, we've had many vehicles with minor damage," Tennant said. "But it's probably been eight to 10 years since we've had something to this extent."

Tennant said investigators are looking for anyone with information. However, he said that could be difficult because few people were awake at 5:19 a.m. Sunday, when the first fire was ignited.

Because the fires spread to vehicles and did considerable damage, felony arson charges will be filed, Tennant said. Street and dumpster fires are misdemeanors until they do damage to cars, homes or other property, he said.

"It's not OK. These things are eventually going to injure or kill somebody," Tennant said. "It could have been a lot worse. When you're dealing with fuel tanks rupturing, we could have burned down homes. It could have been pretty bad.

Braxton checks in at #2-4 on many Heisman lists in September, and he has primarily turned in half or quarter games of excellence against some lousy competition. This week was the exception, though he had some touch moments.

Geno is the only elite performer so far, albeit against dreadful competition. The defense in this game rivals most pee wee leagues.

Maybe this is the year that they get over their braindead obsession with voting for the QB/RB of the most dominant team.

Leveon playing for a dreadful offense should enhance his resume. Ask Monte Ball about playing on a stacked offense.

if they actually vote for most outstanding player instead of a back on the easiest team to win with, perhaps Teo can beat the odds

Sorry, but Bell is extremely average. He isn't bad, but the main reason for his stats are a crap load of carries. He averages under 5 yards a carry, and in college that is nothing special. If you take away his Eastern game (Eastern may be the worst D1 team in football), he averages 4.1 yards per carry. If you look at the top 20 rushers in the NCAA (by yards), there is only 1 other RB under 5 yards per carry (Beau Blankenship at Ohio).

and it's not just stats. I have seen every MSU game. He is just not that good. Yeah, he can hurdle and is a big back that can occasionally get the extra yard when hit. Yet he is not fast, is not shifty, and does not have the best vision.
