Wes Fesler was also a two time first team AP All American in football 1929, 1930.

He also coached for 4 years and was replaced by some guy named Hayes.


OSU's 1st AA in football, 1st AA in basketball then the head FB coach preceeding Woody...thats a serious "whoa!" to quote a senile old coach.

He was also 1st-team All-America in 1928 (perhaps not the APs version), making him the second of tOSU's seven 3-time 1st-team All-Americans in football. (CHic Harley was the first).

Ahhh. Good to know.

After I posted it I was wondering how Chic wasn't the first, figured it had something to do with not being AP or some such thing.

Thanks for the clarification.

Amazing accomplishments in OSU history nonetheless. He should maybe be getting some votes over on the Dispatch for the 4th face on our Mt Rushmore.
