Basketball Forum Climate

It's spelled right out in the forum rules:

With the traffic on the Buckeye Planet Basketball Forum increasing every day and the outlook of the team growing brighter every year, the Basketball Moderators feel it is important to lay out a few simple rules we ask everyone to follow. ...

2) Absolutely No bashing of a player, regardless of his or her performance, will be tolerated.

So saying, for example:

Some Jackass said:
Lighty must be partying too much because his head is everywhere else but in the game. This team makes me sick.

...is completely unacceptable. The posts are staying for now as shining examples of what not to do; similar posts in the future will be deleted and the poster reprimanded.

This forum is here to allow you all to discuss the team and its collective performance constructively--not to pointlessly criticize members of the team. Good game or bad, they are better at what they do than most of you busy bemoaning their existences ever will be at anything. So there's that.

Here out (and clearly this doesn't apply to everyone), keep it above the belt. Doesn't mean you can't be upset/dissatisfied/what have you. Just means you might actually have to think about what you're posting before you click 'submit'.

VR posted this yesterday in the game thread but it needs to be separate.

Things need to change...or some folks will be leaving.

If you are frustrated, don't post. Words like pathetic, embarrassment, pitiful, etc carry a connotation that we do not welcome around here when it comes to discussing tOSU sports.

If that bothers you, feel free to log out and find another site.

No more warnings, no more editing...the Sr. Mods and basketball mods will be giving infractions and deleting the posts.

Enough is enough.

My two cents is that we , as fans , represent the Ohio State University and that our behavior is a reflection on that image.
In that vein I would suggest that our behavior reflect a very positive image not only in what we do and display but in our language as well.
