Baseball Regional Projections (April 16)

Here are the updated regional projections. Ohio State comes in as a 2 seed in the Waco (TX) Regional with Baylor, Alabama, and Creighton.

I would assume for Ohio State to get a #2 seed in a Regional that they would have to play for the Big 10 championship in the tournament. The only other team I see from the Big 10 is Minnesota which took us two out of three 2 weekends ago. There is still a long way to go before I would talk about seeds.

With a current RPI of 21 and ISR of 25, Ohio State is firmly in a 2 seed position. So, the would pretty much have to play themselves out of a 2 seed at this point.

That is what I mean when I say it is early. I think they are just getting into the meat of the schedule when they started playing the other Big 10 teams. I am sure that their win over Miami has given them quite a few "points". I cannot see them climbing any higher but I could see them dropping a little or....

2 seed isn't bad, that regional isn't too bad either, at least this year. I'd be happy to welcome them down here as a two... Real early yet though.
