Bank robbed via drive-thru tube

One of the branches of my bank in Chicago was robbed when the robber sent a hold-up note through the tube at the drive-thru lane. I'm glad to see they're taking such good care of my money! Gotta believe the teller will get asked a lot of tough questions. And there should be cameras that got the license number of the car, which was stolen if the crook has a brain.

CHICAGO - That was easy.
A bank robber behind the wheel of his car Tuesday sent a note through a vacuum tube to the teller at the drive-through window at a branch of Chicago’s LaSalle Bank, and the teller obliged, returning an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The exchange was completed through the bank’s pneumatic tube communications system, in which canisters are passed back and forth between motorist and teller.

The FBI said it was investigating the drive-through theft.

The bank is owned by ABN AMRO Holding NV.

There was a story here in columbus about a guy that robbed a cvs for drugs through the drive thru with a note that said his accomplise was inside with a gun and would shoot them if they didn't give him drugs. Of course he got caught.
