The two biggest games on the national schedule battle each other on prime time TV.

And honestly, the fact that ABC is showing the Neb-Wiscy game has NOTHING to do with the fact that College Gameday will by in Madison hyping that game.

Something like that would surely be beneath the Disney/ESPN/ABC corporate ideals.

Weis can't find a weakness in Alabama

As much as players decide games, it's hard not to consider the coaching matchups in this weekend's SEC showdown. [Will Muschamp] wanted a pro-style offense. [Charlie Weis] has obliged with an improved offensive line that paves holes for speedy running backs Jeff Demps and Chris Rainey, and protects what so far has been a short passing game with [John Brantley]. Alabama is a different animal. It's solid at every position. "I always look for weak links on personnel for people you can attack," Weis said. "This is an unusual group because you really don't have one." All the more reason to be intrigued by Weis vs. Saban. "You have to go ahead and throw the kitchen sink at them," Weis said

First SEC road start for their QB. I'm hoping that it is big loud. Like 98 UT loud. Like 97 FSU loud. Like 06 cockblock loud.

Nick will probably just hand it off a bunch rather than let his QB check off at the line in that environment.

Me and a buddy actually went to that 97 FSU game (after the Ohio State/Michigan game ended). Loudest game I can ever recall being at.....I went home and my ears were ringing for 2 days. I'm still not sure how Spurrier pulled that one off.....FSU was loaded that year.

Easley and Floyd both banged up in practice this week. Somehow I don't see them missing this game though.

An ankle injury suffered at Tuesday's practice may keep Florida starting defensive tackle Dominique Easley out of Saturday's game against No. 3 Alabama, a source close to the team said Thursday night.

Also injured Tuesday was starting defensive end Sharrif Floyd, the source said. Easley is probable for the game, while Floyd is expected to play after suffering a stinger in his shoulder, the source said. Both players are still practicing with the team....continued

I did not watch that game in person, but almost all gators call it the loudest. My loudest game so far - by far - was the '07 UF-LSU game at Death Valley. I had temporary hearing loss for a day due to the ringing in my ears. Screaming at my brother sitting next to me he could not hear me.

I guess that fanbase can generate a lot of noise without teeth blocking the sound waves.

And I'm just guessing that at the other end of the spectrum, maybe the quietest game for Gators fans was the '96 Fiesta Bowl? 62-24, baybeeeeeeee! Gooooooooooo Huskers! :neb::neb2::neb:

Nah. That cemented our shot at Stoops for DC, with a resulting NC the next year. It also cemented Tom's rep for playing Lawrence.

He was a beast, though.
