I'd like to be the best player possible at my position; I'd like to just work hard and watch film. I'd like to someday maybe win the Heisman or something.
That starts with all that film watching and working out. So as of right now, I'm not playing basketball (in college).

So, which films do you like to watch best? That Rudy flick?

I said I'd never come back here - well I just popped back on to report that JCOSU86 is committing -- of course because there are those who actuall LIVE on this msg board that has already been reported. (Have any of you ever played college football or are you all dweebs like nfl buck?? :tongue2: - nice pic)

Anyway - I know what I'm up against here -- all these "experts" and "insiders" , Tressel's good friends , etc. Of course none of you are over 5'9"

Anyway, here it is -- I actually emailed and got a response --I know that won't be believed by all of you experts, but for some insane reason I'm sharing it with you supposed buckeye fans anyway. Whoever got back to me in the email (wasn't JCOSU86 -- maybe his dad? - who knows) was very cordial and appreciated my support and imput. They got a kick out of my statement that I tried to rally buckeye fans on the net to get a petition for JCOSU86 to commit , but most of them would rather bitch about buckeye football than do something positive. He reminded me that the real buckeye fans aren't always to be found on msg boards -- good point.

Bottom line - this was a very tough decision for JCOSU86 -- not something decided until this weekend - regardless of what all you "experts" were reporting. I actually replied to the email with more of my reasoning for JCOSU86 to stay -- the reply I got was that it wasn't about the money (ok - go off on that "experts") or injury , but whether JCOSU86 business was finished at OSU. Basically I don't think Coach Tressel was going to use JCOSU86 in all the ways he should if JCOSU86 committed -- that's just MY guess from the email I got. So , in other words, the JCOSU86 contingent decided that their business was done at OSU. That email came yesterday -- I had said in my email to talk to coach -- if your not THE MAN next year then leave. Who knows what exactly happened , but in the last email I was told that it was a very difficult decision and its something that you'll never know. Who knows if JCOSU86 comes back its a fantastic year for him next year - who knows if he'll be a great pro -- none of us know but they made the best decision they could. That's basically what the email said.

I am not an "insider" or "expert" -- I've played college football (division IAA) and I'm a huge Buckeye fan who has written for one website in the past and is looking to hook on with another soon. I've never emailed a player in my life nor do I intend to ever again. I just had a different slant on JCOSU86 committing than everything else I was reading and decided to pursue it. I of course didn't get any backing on the net - - what I thought would be a fun diversion from the NC mire just gave the "experts" a chance to spew their frustration at me - and for what -- because I love JCOSU86, the Buckeyes and I realized that it MIGHT be a special year for him and the buckeyes if he were to commit. I'm just glad my email was much better received by the people that really matter -- it turned out to be an interesting experience anyway -- and I'm glad I learned the truth and didnt just listen to all the "experts" on the msg boards.

There's something vaguely familiar about the recruitment of this guy. It reminds me of a prior experience we've had on BP, but I just can't put my finger on it.

There are some rumors developing on the USC boards that JCOSU committed on his visit tonight. It appears to stem from the post below from the USC Insiders board. Who knows what is true and what isn't. I thought I should post it over here because it appears to have migrated to another tOSU board. Let's realize that these are just rumors that stem from an unknown poster. It may very well prove to be true but let's wait to see how it plays out. I am sure more info will come out soon enough.

Reply Carroll & Chow were at the Papadakis Taverna with

a bunch of recruits. Averill Spicer, Kevin Thomas, Will Harris and JCOSU all stood up and verbaled at the restaurant. It was pretty awesome seeing John Papadakis do his tribute to USC in front of the recruits. Sam Cunningham, Marlin McKeever and Jim O'Bradovich were all there having dinner as well.

You're lack of an apostrophe is disturbing.

Chow.

This post clearly belongs in the "Hire an Offensive coordinator" thread. Please use the search function. It creates extra work for the mods to move posts. I'm leaving this one here an as example, so others can see it and learn.

Edit - if by 'Chow' you were referring to Greek food at the restaurant, then I apologize.

Hey, don't be telling everybody that I give Thump reacharounds. Stuff you learn via PM's should stay private.

Edit - if you meant something else, please ignore this post. And that goes for everybody - I've got a reputation to live down to.

That's it, He's off to USC, and the sky is falling. I heard Pete Carroll is going to give him a free scooter, six one dollar coins and a live chicken, how can any university compete with that?
Rivals says it one six dollar coin, but yeah...

And Hollywood is right next door. JCOSU86 is a quite the party animal.
