Bad calls in our favor?

see this is what i don't really get. i can not think of any significant and definititive bad calls that have gone in our favor. the previous example of the florida fans coming out and admitting the call against iowa was to their benefit. iowa was called offsides on the onside kick and it was upheld even though every bit of video evidence shows that nobody was offsides on the onside kick and iowa lost. i can't think of any instance where we were that big of a beneficiary of that type of call.

What about ND in 1995? I think we were down 17-7 and punted the ball. The ND player muffed and I thought (hard to say, I was drunk at the time) that it was clear the OSU guy didn't give him enough space, but there was no call. Next play - TD OSU.

Cincinnati game in '02.

On the last pass into the end zone, the Cincy receiver was bumped before the ball was tipped. I thought tOSU was fortunate to not have PI called on that play.

Penn State (I don't remember the year) when we had a pass called complete when it clearly was incomplete. The player dropped the ball and we went in to score.

First one that came to my mind. '03 I believe. I think there was a complete incompletion against NC State that year as well.

In the 2002 Cincinnati game there was also a blatant miscalled touchdown that would have put the bearcats closer to us. I can't remember what quarter it was in, 2nd or 3rd somewhere around there. But the guy clearly had possession and dragged one foot in the corner of the endzone. If they would have called that, no field goal for the bearcats on the drive and the final could have been 23-22.

I would also throw out the FG that ended the first half in that same '02 game @ Purdue. That clock operator sure gave Nuge an awful lot of time to kick that one, and I'm pretty certain the clock was at :00 before the snap, but I won't complain.
Actually, I just reviewed this game tape. The ball had been snapped at 0:01. It was actually a good field goal. However, before going over that again, I would have agreed with you're original statement as I remember quite the controversy over that field goal during that game.

'02 Purdue.

It may be Holy Buckeye, but even I will admit Jenkins pushed off. That's one of the most beneficial non-calls in OSU history, IMHO.
I disagree completley. If you look back on the play you will notice that Rogers, the Purdue guy, was holding Jenkins' right arm/sleeve the entire time the ball was in the air, and Jenkins just twisted his arm around to shake off the hold and catch the ball, not at all a push off in my opinion. Just an amazing play/catch/throw for sure.
