I searched around on here and found some threads but not what I was looking for..

We're planning a bachelor party for our good buddy, and have some ideas but need some more/input.. here's what we've got so far:

  • Camp on a beach somewhere for the weekend (this one seems to be the consensus favorite, going into down during the days and bars - then back to a fire on a beach but not sure how feasible it is.. google-ing "beach camp" after I make this post.
  • Nashville
  • New Orleans
  • Windsor
  • Indy
Obviously beer and titties, but looking to get away for the weekend. Important things would be: the aforementioned titties, bar scene (especially for the destination if it's a beach and not one of the cities), gambling, golfing.. things like zip-lining out of old mine shafts (Nashville) have been thrown out, so any other unique attractions or things to do will weigh in as well.


I've been outside of Columbus (beyond road games :wink2:) only a handful of times, and that was usually for baseball growing up.. any help from those more traveled?
 
I don't know how much you're looking to spend in airfare, but I hear Chernobyl is gorgeous this time of year. Some other quick suggestions if you're into international destinations. Juarez, the Gaza Strip, Syria, Helmand Province, Gitmo...man, the options are endless.



Truthfully...maybe Charleston, Santa Cruz, the Keys, Isla Mujeres MX? They're all coastal and some quite cheap. I don't know about strip club quantity or quality, but they've all got good sand and plenty of nice local attractions. If you can get everyone to drop $500, you can get to IM, MX and have an absolute blast. You might save in beer, food & lodging and gas what you had to fork over for plane tickets.

Did a bachelor party there; it was a great time. Good town, great live music everywhere on Broadway, lots of booze, some (relatively mediocre) chicks, lost a phone, made friends with cabbies, witnessed sunrise prayer. Not sure it tops my list if I'm planning.

Word to the wise: get the phone number of a verbose, NOLA-located lawyer before going. Don't call during church hours on Sunday. Had an amazing time at a bachelor down there :paranoid:

You guys golfers?

If so, you can do Myrtle Beach pretty cheap. Get great group rates for 11:00am tee times in the morning and eat good seafood and hit the bars at night. Very cab friendly and very reasonable for Hotels.

Don't do New Orleans. You'll pass out and wake up with pictures of some guys nuts all over your face - just ask LSU. TROLOLOLOLOLOL

Any beach front rental property in a fun town with plenty of cabs is ideal. If you can combine it with close proximity to gambling - you are winning for days.

I got a bachelor party here next weekend down in Louisville. The reason we chose Louisville is the groom and best man have family in that area, and the groom is in Florida so it's kind of in the middle for everyone. We're doing a day at the race track in a suite (his stepdad is a big money baller with ties all over Louisville). Then we are doing the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Tour to drink some great bourbon. Other than that I think it's just bars strippers and lots of booze.
