B1G CCG: Nebraska -2.5 vs Wiscy at Indy (ov/un 48.5) Sat 8:15 Fox

1. IU and Purdue absolutely take over Indianapolis for the B1G Mens Basketball tourney. Games involving either are impossible to get into. Indy is such an easy trip for both schools, you can be sure they'd out-perform Wisky and Nebraska this year.

2. I would absolutely blame it on a poor opponent. Wisconsin sucks. 5 losses. That's tough, if not impossible, ticket to sell.

3. I understand the money argument, but believe me, tOSU in the CCG will fill it up, regardless of opponent. Same likely goes for scUM. As far as going to both, Buckeyes travel incredibly well, it won't be an issue.

Ultimately, this is a horrific matchup, not interesting at all. Wisconsin doesn't deserve to be there, and everyone knows it. It's been hard to drum up any interest in this, as worst case Wisky knocks of Nebraska and the great embarrassment of the B1G gets to lose another Rose Bowl.
So you're pinning Nebraska's inability to sell tickets on the opponent, then turn around and say schools like OSU and Michigan would sell out regardless of the opponent? Again, everyone always said Nebraska would easily sell out. And I would say Nebraska historically travels just as well as OSU or Michigan. I'm not trying to dispel that. I just think it's a little more nuanced than you're making it out to be.

Well one of the obvious nuances I think you are overlooking is distance. UNL to Indy is 600+ miles without looking it up. OSU/scUM is what, less than 200?

OSU just pulled in 80K for a spring game and you think we wouldn't consistently sell out our half of an NFL stadium that close to Columbus? I'll take that bet anytime you feel you have some money you don't want anymore.

I don't know....if OSU was playing in the championship game in Indianapolis today against a 3rd place team, I would figure that tickets would be cheap and would be even more likely to go.

Plus, they'd be less likely to lose.

I don't think Buckeye fans would fill a stadium for a championships game against a 3rd place team. Wisconsin isn't the problem. It's that Wisconsin doesn't belong in the game is the problem.

Ohio State fills Memorial Stadium against shitty Indiana teams in normal regular-season games every single time...they sure the fuck would fill up the conference title game in the same area, regardless of opponent.

I didn't say they wouldn't, I just said for some fans it's a decision between the CCG and a bowl, and then it's an even different dynamic when you go to both several years in a row.

Yeah, it isn't Wisconsin, it's 7-5 2012 Wisconsin.

That, and I agree with Bucky that Nebraska has disappointed. Not traveling as well as expected.

You don't change the venue from neutral to best-record just based on who's playing. You have one or the other and keep it consistent...

I am and have been consistent with my POV. I was simply responding to the statement made. I'm not a fan of neutral site league championship games.

Erin Andrews is looking extra-skanktastic tonight.....

Oh great and we get subjected to Petros Poppadumbass

Seriously, to be an announcer any non-athlete commentator has to be required to be a douchebag right? That's the only way that fucktard is employed, right?
