B1G CCG: Nebraska -2.5 vs Wiscy at Indy (ov/un 48.5) Sat 8:15 Fox

I flipped back for a moment, just in time to see the most ridiculous "defenseless player" penalty I've ever seen.

Apparently, defenders chasing a ball carrier are now "defenseless" players. How about we just play flag football and get it over with, already?

That hit was absolutely vicious. Not saying it was a good call, but I've seen Big Ten officials call a lot more innocuous hits unnecessary roughness, so I wasn't surprised at all to see that flag. Funny thing is that Bell totally didn't need to hit him that hard--he was between the UW guy and the ball carrier, so if he just stands there, making the UW guy run around him, the ball carrier still easily scores.

Worst I ever saw was the OSU-Indiana game from a few years back where our LB got called for unnecessary roughness for a non helmet-to-helmet hit when tackling the actual ball carrier.

Greenies to anyone who posts that play into this thread. And let's be honest--searching for that video on youtube would be more fulfilling than watching the rest of this trash.

If cornministration is looking for an excuse to ax Bo, they have it. Once they shart down their leg in the bowl game, it might be a done deal. His teams melt epically when the spotlight is on...

The players for Nebby are too uptight to play football. Why? Because with the slightest mistake Pelini explodes on the sidelines.

Pelini either needs to learn how to lead this team so they can play the game loose or he needs to step aside before he caused himself a serious medical issue.

Also, I know that the commentator was putting words in his mouth, but if Bielema thinks that destroying Nebraska proves some kind of point vis a vis their standing relative to Ohio State then he's an even bigger moron than we thought.

That's one positive to come out of this I guess... Bret has to go a whole month answering questions about whether or not his team deserves to be in Pasadena without managing to say something that won't motivate Urban Meyer to break one off in his ass. That'll be fun to watch. I bet he doesn't make it past the remainder of this weekend.
