Ryan Day has the injury update that Buckeye Nation wants to hear on Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate after beating Michigan​

The Buckeyes got the win over Michigan and their stars made it out healthy.

Ohio State finally got the job done against Michigan, ending its four-game losing streak in the rivalry. The Buckeyes now turn their attention to the postseason, and they’ll have their top wideouts healthy for the run ahead.

Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate came out of the Michigan game healthy​

“Both of those guys came out as good as could be expected,” Day said on Sunday. “So that was great. Two gritty performances and gutsy performances. They’ll be excited to play in this one for sure.”

Tate and Smith’s injuries were always considered minor, and Ohio State took the careful route with both players. Tate missed three games, and Smith missed a game and three quarters while managing his injury. Both looked strong against Michigan without any noticeable limitations. Now, the Buckeyes will need them again on Saturday against Indiana. The stakes are getting higher as Ohio State looks to secure a Big Ten Championship against the Hoosiers.

I know it has been a long season but this team should be heading to Indianapolis fairly fresh and healthy. Hopefully that will give us an additional edge against Indy.

Vegas says it'll be a closer game than mayhaps we'd like. Watched B10 network go down the list, with the 'better' of Indiana and tOSU teams. Was amused, when one picked a team, there was a 'well, it's a very close call'. Amused, and they've probably got some good points, as they watch/comment on every team. Guess we'll see. Both teams are hungry, certainly. Would like this for the team, as well as Ryan Day. Looking at the projected 'big 12' playoff teams, it's going to be a hard slog no matter where the Buckeyes wind up. As for me, I'm all in on Ohio State.

I've watched about every Indiana game this year, or at least parts. One thing that is for sure is that Cignetti is a very, very good coach and one I have a lot of respect for (will of course be throwing that sentiment aside come game time). They added talent in droves on top of great coaching and their great season is no fluke at all. We're facing a great opponent to be sure and you can throw away the past for this game.

That being said, I really think we change nothing about our approach on either side of the ball. If we can run it like that against scUM, we can lean on it heavy if we want to. We may do exactly that to limit IU's explosive offense. But if Smith and Tate are as healthy or better next Saturday, we'll most definitely take our shots downfield, especially on play action if the run game is working like last game.

On defense, we're going to likely need to bring pressure from a mix of safety and LB blitzes. Mendez is for real and they have plenty of explosive playmakers on that side of the ball. This game will be our biggest test to the defense for sure and frankly I'm glad we get it now heading into the playoffs. Patricia will rise to the occasion I'm sure, but fans need to exercise some patience to start the game.

My very early prediction is OSU 27 - Indiana 17. Haven't looked at the Vegas odds, but I don't expect a shootout.

Indiana is too good not to land a couple punches. I think if they get a lead first it doesn’t go quite as far as the Bucky game since Patricia is insanely fast at adjusting - more worried about the offense finishing drives with touchdowns.

Would love to see some higher pace underneath stuff but I know nothing and will continue to claim that I know nothing.
