B1G CCG: #1 tOSU vs #2 Indiana in Indy, Sat. Dec 6th, 8 ET on FOX

After processing for a good solid 15 minutes, we got outclassed at QB (and probably guard in fist half). Give Mendoza the Heisman, give Indiana their flowers, but this doesn't change my opinion of the Buckeyes this season. Still feel we are favorites going into a game against most of the rest of the playoff bracket. After a week of trying to convince a couple of non Buckeye friends that Indiana was ranked exactly where they should be, I almost feel vidicated.

Always thought three straight was always an uphill battle. Still feel that we have as good as shot as anybody to win it all and would love for the chance to take it all to be a rematch.
Thing is we weren't outclassed that bad at QB. Sayin struggled to start the game and then in the middle of the game. But in the 4th he found his sealegs. Now I guess you could argue on that last 3rd down he could have tried to run for it but other than that he was pretty damn good in the 4th

The biggest plus is that Sayin figured things out, but by then it was too late. That definitely matters in a rematch, though. For the first time this year, they looked like a team that replaced a lot of guys on offense. Sometimes you need those games and to learn from them. We’ll see how they respond.

Not sure why Hartline waited so long to go to the PA TE roll outs. When the OL is getting beat like that, you cannot keep setting up the slower developing downfield passing attack when Indiana was going to take it away anyway. Also, trust Bo, he played a great game.

I think every issue outside of the OL is fixable, and the OL can still improve. That and having film for Sayin on what they were doing is helpful.

The defense did most everything they could, and at some point you can’t do much when you’re getting tackled. The CBs are the sole weakspot, if you can call it that, so they need ways to generate quicker pressure.

This was a frustrating game, but also tough to play right after a huge win over Michigan. Glad it happened now and at least gives them a shot to improve more before the playoffs.

I would say that Mendoza was the more mature QB tonight.

Sayin took a couple awful sacks.

And that's ok - he's still super young as a QB. You could tell exactly when the game slowed down for him in the 4th quarter.

If Sayin is the player we all hope he is, this is just a bump in the road.
