He's saying that because they think that they deserve to be part of the evil empire.

"An SEC team can't get left out of the (championship game) with one loss," Jacobs said. "We just beat the No. 1 team in the nation, and a team ahead of us struggled today, I understand," (referring to Ohio State's 42-41 victory at Michigan).

"And a one-loss SEC team that wins in Atlanta — if it's us or Missouri — you can't get left out of the BCS after you beat the No. 1 team. We have a better argument because we beat the No. 1 team."
In 2004, Auburn was one of three unbeaten teams, but got squeezed out of the BCS title game when Southern California and Oklahoma finished 1-2. The SEC has won seven consecutive BCS national titles.

Is it bad to say that I wish they would deny the rosé bowl bid if they beat MSU and got left out of the title game? Just to stick it to the media and create a ratings disaster of a Rose Bowl.

So, if you have a chance to parrot some nonsense that, if anyone takes it seriously, will make your company ten digits of dollars, you're not parroting that nonsense? I think I could see my way clear to try not to giggle when I say something ridiculous if that something could make me and my bosses a huge bundle of coin.

I have no problem with this guy spinning things in Auburn's favor; that's what he's paid to do. Now let's see what media outlets have the integrity to point out what an immense pile of Mark May the whole concept of Auburn-in-the-NC-game is.

Big difference between doing what you're paid to do and sounding like a total drooling mongol....calling it a "disservice to the nation" if Auburn were to not jump Ohio State is beyond stupid
