IMO theres other things we need than a RB first. I didnt mean it like NO not him bc he's a baller, would rather us draft other needs first.

Well, I didn't say to pick him first. I just saw where it said Tate is projected as the No. 9 RB in the draft coming up. Last year, the ninth RB selected was Gartrell Johnson, who was taken with a compensatory pick at the end of the fourth round. I think the Browns can part with a fourth or fifth rounder for a guy like Tate. Going back over the last thirty years or so, you pretty much can't go wrong picking an Auburn RB. Especially over the last decade, they take a backseat to nobody - Texas and Miami included in producing productive NFL players at that position.

I don't think him (or any RB for that matter) should be a priority for the Browns though. That's why I used more passive language like "I wouldn't mind". The Browns have such a dearth of talent at pretty much every position except LT and KR/PR that if you find good talent and value when your pick comes up, you need to take that guy regardless of position.

Kafka is pretty much pissing this game away by himself

Yep.
The first pick was deflected off a receiver's hands and not really his fault. But the two in the end zone have been just brutal. Essentially a 21 point swing when you put it all together. That's nearly impossible to overcome.

True, I guess I read your statement as taking him early. My bad.

Northwestern is developing Sparty syndrome where they play well enough to win but find ways to fuck up so the score actually doesn't look nearly as close as it should be....it's the first stage of Sparty syndrome......
